(first name index follows listing by county)
This is not an exhaustive listing but rather a path in the woods; much more detail is available in the local courthouses and record offices. Many individuals have private collections of these materials, and the LDS files contain copies as well. Numbers in brackets often represent a reference to my own files. Counties are listed alphabetically. The emphasis is on persons with dates before 1860.
As time goes by I'll be uploading some of the family pedigrees thus far sorted out and a listing of some of the individuals actively researching or interested in these families. I'll also be hoping to add links to other web sites which feature these families.
This is the first experimental upload of a collection of material sorted by state and county, and my hope is to upload the rest of the material I have on other states within the next three months. I am particularly interested in the early Arnetts and will welcome additions for factual data which link groups of families together. -------John Arnett
