This photographic portrait of the six MacNees sisters--taken in Richland Center, WI about 1902--shows Mabel Melrose MacNees (1881-1950) seated on the front right. To her right and then clockwise are Mae Wilda (1890-1925), Ruth (1886-1912), Edith (1872-aft 1946), Jessie (1856-1946) and Melissa Pearl (1884-1928). A seventh sister, Mattie (1886-1880) had died about twenty years earlier. The framed photo behind the girls is either Mary Ellen Macy (1835-1879)--mother of Jessie and Edith, or Margaret Jane Moody (1855-1915)--mother of Mabel and her younger sisters.
